Christian "The Gladiator" Gutierrez

Our Alpha Coyote player, the offensive defender Christian "El Gladiador" Gutierrez of the El Paso County Coliseum, has gone beyond expectations in the recent opening of the 2017-2018 MASL season.

Last Sunday evening, El Paso Coyotes visited and defeated the RGV Barracudas in Hidalgo, Texas. Our borderland pack unfolded a true elaborated game and strategy, controlling different phases of the match. A great part of the outcome of the game was thanks to the Mexican National Team selected player, Gutierrez, who dominated each battle on the field scoring 4 goals. His powerful shooting makes him one of the most fearful players of the league.

With a spectacular 9 goals in the first 3 games of the MASL season (4 vs RGV, 1 vs Sonora, 4 vs RGV-away), Gutierrez is right now the second  scorer and PPGA (Points Per Game Average) of the entire MASL, just below the legend Kraig Chiles from the San Diego Sockers and Ian Benneth from the Milwaukee Wave. Even more impressive is that 80% of "The Gladiator" goals are made from a mid-distance, which means that he possesses top class technique and powerful legs that make it extremely difficult for goalkeepers to block. As part of the MASL Team of the Week, Christian keeps showing his fans and the youth of El Paso that hard work always pays off. This coming Saturday is another chance for our El Paso Coyotes to improve and bring joy to our Sun City community.
